The «Lernwerkstatt» is planned as an inspiring learning environment for projects by students in the fields of art and science. It is intended to be a «reloading point» for new ideas, a platform for self-effective learning in creative work. The target group are students between 18 and about 30 years of age. A regular summer workshop, supported by the foundation in cooperation with initiative and knowledge partners, is intended to create a value contribution with international reach for the promotion of young talents. The projects are selected on the basis of a competition which takes place annually. Scholarship holders can qualify on the basis of both the performance and the value of their project. They are given the opportunity to experience productive learning under the guidance of experts from the foundation's network of experts. The experts support the scholarship holders in determining clear coordinates for their further professional development steps. In addition to promoting talented learners, a local social impact of the projects is intended. For this reason, the scholarship holders are accommodated in host families and present their project results in public events. In this way, the projects become comprehensible to the interested public.
