Development and publication of a teaching aid for Harp

Until now, there was no teaching material for the first two to four years of children's harp playing that met today's pedagogical and methodological requirements. Two harpists and music educators from the Lucerne area have therefore developed an appropriate teaching aid.

Music Campus Balchik/Bulgarien

The Music Campus Balchik is a summer academy for the promotion of talented young music students from Bulgaria and the entire Black Sea region. In 2019 master classes in violin, viola, cello, singing and chamber music were offered. The music professors, the students and guest musicians create during the summer academy, in addition to the master classes, a varied festival program aimed at a local and regional audience and international vacation guests in the beautiful region. The students can thus gain concert experience. In this peripheral region of Europe, hardly any funding is available for musical promotion. The visiting professors are renowned musicians from Switzerland and other European countries. They participate in fundraising for the campus with benefit concerts in Switzerland. The participating students are between 13 and 20 years old. They are students at a music school, bring a talent worthy of support and have a strong interest in performance. On campus, the students work primarily on their own possibilities of perception and expression. Locally, the campus has a high social significance and generates welcome added value. Responsibility for the planning, organization and implementation of the Summer Academy lies with the association "Kultur an der Grenze" from Thun.

Swiss scouts at the World Scout Jamboree

The jamboree took place in Oak Hill, West Virginia (USA) under the tagline "Unlock a New World". The Swiss delegation consisted of 1160 young people aged 14 to 18 years. The Jamboree offered the Swiss youth an exchange with young people from many other regions of the world in a friendly atmosphere. The young people were given good opportunities to overcome language barriers, to reflect on ecological and cultural values and to deal with their own identity.
