Philosophy Olympiad of the Swiss Science Olympiads

The Philosophy Olympiad is a sub-competition of the Swiss Science Olympiads for young people. Newly emerged possibilities of action in individual and societal lifestyle with increasingly powerful tools, e.g. based on digitalization, raise new philosophical, ethical and legal questions. With the rapid development of society, many of these remain unanswered in space or lag behind behavior. The recognition of these questions by young people and their search for answers is significant for the assumption of responsibility in shaping the future of society. The Philosophy Olympiad provides young people with a forum and stimulus for this reflection. The competitions of the Science Olympiads first take place within the framework of national competitions and the best participants then compete internationally.
